Ponzo Scheme was formed in Austin by Sean Behrens, Lee Thompson, John Ponzo, Albert Nigro and Robert Vanderbrake after meeting at the local jam nights. They began conspiring to do stunt performances, often learned last minute, of material most people would never try at a jam. Eventually a sizeable amount of material was accrued and they decided to form a band around it. Everyone in Ponzo Scheme sings and plays. Ponzo Scheme will take you back to a time when music was so much better. The band is frequently complimented on their unique and compelling setlist which continues to evolve.
